The New York Yankees were nearly no-hit by the White Sox on Tuesday night. It took until the bottom of the seventh to get their first hit and first run. Josh Donaldson added a run on a solo shot in the ninth but it wasn’t enough and the Yankees lost, 3-2. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the big news of the night. That was Aaron Judge and Nestor Cortes going on the IL. Judge with a strained ligament in his bruised right big toe and Nestor has shoulder inflammation. Steve and Stacey discuss the ramifications of both injuries and wonder if a trade could be happening any time soon. Then they recap the game. Clarke Schmidt lasted six innings which was good but gave up three runs on two home runs which wasn’t good, especially not when Lucas Giolito is no-hitting the Yankees through six innings. Then Steve and Stacey preview the pitching matchup for Wednesday night’s game which features the return of Randy Vasquez. He will be facing off against Lance Lynn.
