Residents in the Daintree have been isolated since Wednesday, with floodwaters and landslides washing away their exit routes

Tony Bartels lives in the Stewart Creek Valley in the Daintree,  he told RN Breakfast he woke up to "a lot more reprieve" with blue skies replacing the downpour. But he says he and his fellow isolated residents still won't be out "for days" and he's not clear on the level of damage across the community.

Guest: Tony Bartels, Resident of the Stewart Creek Valley in the Daintree
