As the holidays approach and schools close for the winter break, all week we are joined by authors of recently released children's books. The latest from NAACP Image Award nominated children's book author Janet Costa Bates is called, Rica Baptista: Llamas, Iguanas, and My Very Best Friend, which tells the story of a Cape Verdean-American girl named Rica, who really wants a pet, but needs to convince her parents. Janet Costa Bates joins us to talk about the new book and do a special reading!
