After a snoozy stage on Friday, the Tour de France burst back into life with a barnstorming stage from Mâcon to St Etienne.
Join Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie and François Thomazeau at their hotel – which they are sharing with the CCC, UAE Team Emirates, Sunweb and Cofidis teams – as they unpick a fascinating day’s racing.
The stage was won by Thomas De Gendt in sensational fashion but behind them Julian Alaphilippe seized the initiative and took back the yellow jersey while Thibaut Pinot gained some time that might turn out to be important.
Tune in for the usual mix of interviews and analysis, another episode of Outside the Team Bus with our first Pédaleur de Charme of the Tour, and a difference of opinion between Lionel and François regarding the way Pinot has attacked the first week of the race.
