Today is the 23rd anniversary of 9/11 and we opened with our thoughts on the topic. We also talked about the importance of sports right after that and how it brought people together including the Mike Piazza HR. Gio couldn’t believe how some of the Jets fans on air here were so negative, considering how positive they were last season as soon as Rodgers went down. This week they play the Titans and Boomer said they are a better team than people think they are. The Jets are a favorite on the road and that’s because of the QB in Tennessee. They can’t start 0-2. They now play a string of quarterbacks that aren’t great. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the Mets losing to the Blue Jays as David Peterson had a tough night on the mound. The Yankees also lost as they were shut out by Seth Lugo and the Royals. Benches cleared last night in Philadelphia between the Phillies and Rays. Aaron Rodgers was on with Pat McAfee and said to come along for the ride but if you jump off now, don’t come back. Joe Benigno was not happy with the defense. Chris Russo said Saleh will be fired if the Jets are 1-4. Carl Banks said LT thought they could have grabbed 22 of the Giants’ legends and played better Sunday. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry asked Eddie about smelly teenagers on the Warm Up Show.
