Submit ReviewHappy Mother's Day weekend and start of Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month!
To celebrate, we had two incredibly special guests on our show... our moms! Because we recorded the episode with them in Chinese (Mandarin), we also recorded this shorter English recap for those who do not speak our moms' native tongue. With that said, if you do speak Mandarin, feel free to either listen to the Mandarin audio version, or watch the English-subtitled / Mandarin audio video on YouTube! (The latter is what we encourage all of you to do, in fact, so you can get the legit stories from our moms themselves :))
We get to know our moms better in terms of what their childhoods were like back in Taiwan, what they wanted to be when they were younger, what they thought of our dads when they first met them (lol), the hardships they went through both growing up and eventually immigrating to the U.S., what their hopes and dreams are now, some fun stories from back in the day, and much more.
Tune in to get to know both Mama Lins better, and we encourage you to go out and ask your mamas more about their lives too :)
