Cal Newport’s book, Deep Work, is a great handbook for how we can do the work that matters, better. It’s all about creating focused time to do the thinking and reflecting and creating we need to move our work forward in transformational ways.
Arianna Huffington’s book, Thrive, marked a global wake-up call about overworking leading to work dominance at the expense of our health. Her book is a call to arms against self-sacrifice for the sake of work. Plenty of self management and relaxation tools in the book too.
