1993 was a kinder, gentler time, when we could still separate an actor from his or her politics and enjoy their performance for the lightweight popcorn entertainment it was – in this case, martial arts master Chuck Norris as “Walker, Texas Ranger.” It was a fun show in which Norris played a cop who was pretty much impervious to everything from punches and bullets to Godhood jokes. SHEREE J. WILSON podcast excerpt: "I read 'L.A. Law' sides for CBS and they put my audition in the queue. Then I went to Israel to film a movie with Chuck Norris. We had a ball. One day, he looked like the cat that swallowed the canary. He said, 'It seems they want this actress named 'Sheree J. Wilson' to play in my new TV series, 'Walker Texas Ranger.' I said YOU'RE Walker Texas Ranger???" Because even if you didn’t love the show, how could you resist a Chuck Norris joke? • Chuck Norris does not wear a condom. Because there is no such thing as protection from Chuck Norris. • Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. • If you can see Chuck Norris, he can see you. If you can't see Chuck Norris you may be only seconds away from death. Those are just a sampling of gags from the website titled – yup, you guessed it, “Chuck Norris Jokes.” (norris-jokes.com">https://chuck-norris-jokes.com ) My guest today is actress Sheree J. Wilson, who played opposite Chuck Norris as assistant district attorney Alix Cahill on “Walker, Texas Ranger,” the long-running TV series that debuted 25 years ago. The show is back once more, this time on getTV. I’m hoping Sheree might have a favorite Chuck Norris joke of her own – or knows whether Chuck Norris enjoys Chuck Norris jokes. Sheree J.
