William Paul Young had a fundamental, evangelical upbringing that included many false beliefs about God. That led to many questions the church isn’t typically good at entertaining or even allowing, but he couldn’t stop asking. After coming clean about a marital affair to his wife, a new process of learning began in which false notions of God were discarded, and he wrote The Shack to share his new revelation of God with his friends and family. Hear about Young’s love for God as well as his rejection of many doctrines that most evangelical churches would deem essential.

wut you guys talking about? I tried to keep an open mind, but your hard stance on uncertainty gave me a headache. how do you separate the "rule" from the "Thing they believe in"? very confusing episode.
