The same study predicts 97 million new jobs will emerge and 85 million will be displaced by a shift in labour between humans and machines. Most commentators believe that the pandemic has only accelerated this progress. It is not surprising, therefore, that skill availability is high on the CEO’s agenda. Recent research by McKinsey highlights that 79% of CEOs are concerned about skill availability impacting, innovation, cost, quality and growth.
