There are currently many global problems that need solving. The sheer amount of suffering that goes on in the world can be so overwhelming that it’s hard to know where to begin. Human beings are innately selfish. We’ve evolved this way to survive. However, if we can slightly shift our perspective or leave our minds open to unique ideas, we can all become problem solvers. In this volume of The Psychology of Entrepreneurship… Every meaningful action started with an idea. Clubhouse is an amazing platform where people from all over the world can discuss just about anything. If you’ve heard what I’ve put out recently, you know I’m a big fan of Clubhouse and even have a Psychology of Entrepreneurship club with over 4,000 followers. We decided to bring you the highlights from a 90 min panel discussion on How to Solve the World’s Most Meaningful Problems for this volume. Of course, this is a very broad subject matter. There are millions of meaningful problems and millions of ways to approach them. So I assembled some of the people I admire most to discuss different perspectives on problem-solving. Although you won’t hear from all speakers in this volume, our amazing panel consisted of Darin Olien, Naveen Jain, Trivinia Barber, Kylie Ryan, Tracey Ivanyshyn, Hayley Hobson, Matthew Bertulli, Kelsey Ramsden, Lindsay Padilla, Yuri Elkaim, Erik Huberman and Sean Croxton. I won’t go into their collective credentials, but trust me when I say they each have plenty, and I encourage you to follow all of them. No, we don’t solve all the world’s problems in this conversation. But we do explore ways that we can approach problem-solving from a different angle. The consensus is that real change of any kind has to start with us. So after listening to this insightful discussion, consider making one minor tweak in your life to spark change within yourself.
