Zandashé Brown is a Baton Rouge area filmmaker who's most recently produced work is her web-series, Black Women Are, which warranted her selection in the 2015 New Orleans Film Festival's Emerging Voices Program dedicated to providing mentorship for emerging directors of color. The web-series documents the coming-of-age experiences of 5 Black women of diverse backgrounds in southern Louisiana. Zandashé has also recently directed the short film, The Conjure Woman, which is to be part of a 6 short series exploring the stages of trauma.  Zandashé describes herself as a storyteller first and attempts to tell stories throughout all of her art forms. She is dedicated to providing a platform for narratives across the African Diaspora and spreading them throughout the world.
