Mike discusses an article he saw on Medium about 7 deadly relationship sins.

The first sin is lust. Save it for your partner. Don’t cheat. If you cheat, own it.

Torya and Mike discuss if it is wrong to desire others as long as you don’t act on them. They agree that lusting after another person is wrong and will eventually lead to cheating.

The next sin is gluttony—being controlling, possessive and demanding. Mike says it makes him think of Lisa from 90 Day Fiance. Torya thinks of someone they encountered a few years back.

Mike points out that this is about extremes being bad.

The next one is pride. Don’t be so proud that you can’t be vulnerable with your partner. Mike relates it to a discussion he and Torya recently had. He says not only is respect earned, vulnerability is earned as well.

Next up is sloth. It is easy to become lazy in a relationship. The small things matter.

Mike says so many people complain about laziness. He says the little things matter a lot. Actions speak louder than words.

Greed doesn’t belong in a relationship. You contribute as much as you receive. Greed is one of the quickest ways to kill a relationship.

Torya points out they each worry more about each other than themselves. They discuss why that is such an important element in a relationship.

Wrath is another sin. Don’t hurt your partner. That is very toxic behavior.

Torya says if your response to being cheated on is to cheat, it’s time to end the relationship.

Envy is the most relatable relationship sin. Couples only show their relationship highlight reel.

These sins can destroy a relationship.

Mike points out how envy can be horrible. They discuss various aspects of envy. Torya points out it is a problem when it’s done in excess.

Mike says that if you let your partner know how important they are to you, the things that cause envy become much less important.

Mike talks about investing in your partner’s happiness.
