Parrots are legendary mimics, but like any performer, they need an audience to really perform. I came by early in the morning, before 9 am, one of the first visitors to the park, and strolling around Parrot Paradise, the macaws, cockatoos, and parrots were still warming up.

At full squawk, parrots can hit 155 decibels (louder than a rock concert!) so early morning is probably the best time to drop by and say hello.

This was recorded with our 3Dio FreeSpace Pro II Binaural Microphone w DPA 4060 capsules into our Sound Devices MixPre 6ii. Listen using headphones for the best immersive effect!
