Jaideep wasn't really given an option to figure out what he liked or what he wanted to do. The conventional career path awaited him as his parents thought it to be a fitting start to his journey. (he had very different plans for himself which we will find out in a short while)

The impact of one of Jaideep's teachers (Mrs. Rashmi) cannot be understated as she was the one who posed faith and confidence in his ability to study and perform.

We see so many such stories that with just a single person or set of people who back you can lead to such extra ordinary developments. It would not be unfair to say that teachers have one of the most important jobs in the world, that of molding young and impressionable minds. (sorry, got deviated)

45% of people regret the life choices they have made. Unsurprisingly, this number goes up as people age. Which means, people need to be a lot more mindful about their life choices!

Jaideep's project Know Your Star is currently working towards developing role models for children so that they are aware of the possibilities that exist for the children around them. As part of their program, they try to develop the following by showcasing role models who embody the -

a. Self Awarenessb. "I Can" Mindsetc. Unstoppable Spirit

Knowyourstar (KYS) has mapped almost 200 professions that exist, 100 kilometers around you, no matter where you are.

Social change is not something that happens overnight. Jaideep displays immense amounts of perseverance and patience as he tries to figure out what it takes to bring about grass roots change, his example of Dahi or Yogurt Theory is a profound one where the curdling of milk is likened to social change that needs the right ingredients but also a lot of patience and faith.

"Tactically I would be impatient but strategically I would wait for the change to come about."

An interesting tangent that comes out of the conversations is also the "gardeners' mindset" as against the "manufacturing mindset" where the importance of long term strategic thinking is brought about with a need for good plan, creating the right environment for success and figuring out that there isn't a cookie cutter model that works for everyone.
