“ Learning to say no early on, when it's not your specialism or making a decision. Are you going to be a DNI generalist, or are you going to be a DNI specialist like I am? I specialise in menopause in the workplace. But what I have done is created a network of referral specialists, so when I'm asked to talk about topics that I am not competent in, I don't try and wing it, or say yes. Knowing I've got a competent professional expert that I can share that work with. So learning to say no, recognising your boundaries and creating that referral network, I think are absolutely crucial to be successful in this space.”
