I have talked about this many times on the show, but it is so important that I just felt that I had to discuss it again. If your child is not doing what you think they “should” be doing, in terms of taking age and stage-appropriate responsibility, then tune in… The bottom line is this: we just cannot afford to continue doing things for them and controlling things they need to control for themselves if we hope for them to become autonomous and independent young adults. In fact, it works against them ever being autonomous.
