Submit ReviewIn this episode, Ashanti Bentil-Dhue will be sharing what she learnt whilst watching a particular episode of Grey’s Anatomy and what she thinks DEI professionals can learn and take away from watching Grey's Anatomy.
“The human experience is always evolving and changing. The workforce of today is not the workforce of five years ago or even ten years ago, so we cannot make assumptions about who people are, and why they behave in the way they do. Every time we go into a new workplace, we can't make assumptions and rely on the way we have done things five, ten or even fifteen times over a course of years. We have to always be aware of ego because sometimes ego and overconfidence can mean that we make mistakes. It can mean that we miss something important; it can mean that we miss label, miss judge, miss assess a situation or a person, and that can have implications on the work that we're doing in the workplace ”
