A very special episode of Great British Bosses from Anything but Footy - the Olympic and Paralympic podcast. For our 50th edition we're delighted to be joined by Dame Katherine Grainger - Chair of UK Sport – the organisation that is responsible for the high performance sports system in Great Britain and Northern Ireland (you'll have heard a lot about them over the previous 49 episodes!) In this episode, we talk about Katherine's role, the new UK sport strategy, London 2012, Paris 2024, athlete protests and Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Great British Bosses was launched in early 2020 with the aim of speaking with the men and women who have roles as leaders in British sport. Guests have included Chief Executives, Managing Directors, Performance Directors and Head Coaches. Organisations which have participated include Team GB, The British Paralympic Association, British Athletics, Sport England and The Commonwealth Games Federation. And a third of the guests have been female leaders in sport. Download & follow for the full back catalogue. This is Great British Bosses from Anything but Footy - the behind the scenes conversation of British sport. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
