We are joined by Ray Harrington this week, who THOUGHT he was in for a lighthearted discussion about Halloween. But conversations go where conversations go, so it was not exactly what Ray thought it would be. We start with a debriefing of our Halloween Spooktacular Show from last night - what worked and what needed improvement? We then segue into a discussion about Miller's Roast Beef (our sponsor for the show) and somehow roast beef restaurants in general. We then talk about the history of some of our favorite candy bars and THIS is where things REALLY take a turn...all based on the source of the name "Snickers!" We talk about late-stage capitalism and movie titles and movie posters and whoa mama does it get hard to follow! (you can follow it, though, because you're smart!) We briefly discuss my lack of Halloween spirit this year and try to figure out how to remedy that. We then get into what was supposed to be a lighthearted, teasing jab at Chuck about signing a card for Ray and I don't think I came across as lighthearted at all, so I'll apologize here for that. I then present Ray and Chuck with Halloween gifts to end the show.- Brad
