Should you fear the Menehune? We dig into the folklore and mythology of these two foot tall cryptids and discuss the landmark structures that are credited to the craftsmanship of these tiny, potbellied, Bob Villas. Apparently these little gnomes are much more efficient than our current government roads departments. Structures attributed to the Menehune – Menehune fishpond- Kauaʻi – Kīkīaola ditch at Waimea, Kauaʻi – Necker Island structures – Pa o ka menehune, breakwater at Kahaluʻu Bay – Ulupo Heiau at Kailua, Oahu If you run into any cliff diving brownies in your travels to the Pacific Ocean, or if your contractor is two feet tall….you might have met the Menehune.

We also cover a news story about flying cockroaches. Oh and Brett hates roaches. We discuss the town of Lihue, HI, and some things to do there, that doesn’t involve a dwarf. There will also be some discussion of the best things to eat in Hawaii….we settled on burgers from Duane’s Ono-Char Burger and not spam. We ran into some sound quality issues in the second half of the show. We completely missed the Odd Challenge, and will be doing a separate show to cover that portion.
