Submit ReviewIn light of the death of George Floyd as a result of the actions of the Minneapolis police, and the Black Lives Matter protests taking place across the world, it doesn't feel right for us to stick to our normal VENT Weekly schedule this week. Structural and institutional racism is not new, and is just as prevalent and toxic in the UK as in the USA.
We’ve decided to share a documentary with you that was made by Amelia, one of our VENT Weekly hosts. It’s about what it’s like to have to navigate university and the world of work as a black woman. If you’re listening to this and you’re black, we see you and we are sending solidarity. If you’re listening to this and you want to be an ally, listen up, and reflect on what you can do.
This documentary originally aired on our sibling podcast VENT Documentaries.
