Season Two Captains.

In Star Trek: Discovery’s first season, two captains were portrayed: Gabriel Lorca and Philippa Georgiou. In the finale, the Discovery crew are en route to Vulcan to pick up their new captain when they stops to answer a distress call, leaving fans with many questions. Who will be the new captain? Will it be a familiar face? Human or alien? When will we meet them, and who will portray them?

In this episode of The Edge, hosts Amy Nelson and Brandon-Shea Mutala are joined with Kyle Wagner of The Fandom Podcast Network to discuss “What if?” scenarios. We debate the importance of a captain on a show that claims to be “lower decks” and highlight listener thoughts on a new captain.
