It's hard to imagine anyone growing up in the '80s and not watching Care Bears-- they would probably grow up to become a soulless monster.  From the initial Dic-produced series simply titled Care Bears to the more fully-realized Nelvana-produced The Care Bears Family which introduced villains like No Heart and Beastly, kids everywhere fell under the spell of the titular bears who just cared too damned much. This may be the earliest childhood program we've examined on the podcast; is Care Bears rewatchable? Were the Care Bears fascistic? What similarities does the show share with John Milton's Paradise Lost? Was Beastly the Travis Bickle-esque anti-hero of Care Bears? We answer these questions and more!
