Alita: Battle Angel.

In the late 1990s filmmaker Guillermo del Toro introduced James Cameron to a Japanese cyber punk manga series called Battle Angel Alita, Cameron was immediately taken with the material but it would be nineteen years before the film would ever make it to the big screen.

In this episode of The 602 Club hosts Matthew Rushing and Christy Morris welcome Nic Anastassiou to talk about Alita: Battle Angel. We discuss from manga - to development hell - to screen, a big world, dehumanization, the characters and cast, exploring relationships, the effects, a sequel and our ratings.
