In late August of 2013, Ryan Hoy called the Aurora Colorado Police Department for help. He said that his wife, 47-year-old Yun-Mi, and his 18-year-old stepdaughter, Isabella, were locked in the upstairs bathroom. He could hear his wife yelling for help, but wasn’t sure exactly what was going on. Then, he saw blood start to seep underneath the bathroom door and into the hallway. Shortly after, Isabella opened the bathroom door, knife in hand and covered in her mother’s blood, and walked down the stairs and out of the home.
