The long awaited publication of a government independent review Into labour shortages in the food supply chain is about to be published. We find out what farmers would like to see in the review, and what they need when it comes to labour. The Scottish government has scrapped plans which would have meant the creation of Highly Protected Marine Areas in 10% of Scotland's seas. The proposals would have restricted fishing and other human activities in some coastal areas, in an attempt to protect the environment. Members of the fishing industry and some island communities raised concerns about the plans. We’ve been discussing bacon all this week- today we visit a butchers to find out how it's cured. We also speak to food safety expert Professor Chris Elliott form Queen's University in Belfast, who is campaigning to have the use of nitrates in pork processing banned. Presenter: Caz Graham Producer: Rebecca Rooney
