Today I am so excited to have Akilah Scharff-Teoh, Founder of the Life Force Unit, on the podcast for #29DaysofMagic! We chat about her working as a telemarketer, selling home improvements and re-financing as a 14 year old! Akilah shares about how much more difficult it is to make something happen in a highly bureaucratic environment and once you can run a $2 million project you can run your own business. We discuss why building teams with equity in mind from day one is much more sustainable. We talk about how crazy it is that many of the commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion during 2020 seem to have gone away. We chat about how important it is to bring people with you as you are going along, there is no standing alone atop a mountain!
