The two superhero powerhouses made news in Summer 2022, in two very different directions. This episode focuses on the latest goings-on involving movies and television regarding both. DC's parent company Warner Bros. has completed its merger with Discovery. The news included a plan in 2023 of combining of two streaming services, HBO Max, and Discovery+. Furthermore, many DC properties have been canceled, most notably the film “Batgirl,” which was reportedly nearing completion with a budget of $90 million. Meanwhile, Marvel unveiled its plans for Phases 4, 5, and 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Beginning with the conclusion of the ongoing Phase 4, Marvel announced many new films and series that will make their debut in the next few years. Phase 4 winds up with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in late 2022. Phase 6 culminated with 2 new Avengers films, The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. Noted podcaster, author, and entrepreneur Lee Elias makes his Hall of Justice debut to discuss these many topics.
