Mita Mallick is the head of diversity and cross-cultural marketing at Unilever. We loved chatting to Mita about her part in developing pivotal products that built diversity and inclusion within and beyond Unilever, through her ‘Every Voice Matters. Every Story Celebrated’ initiative, and her work to help Unilever achieve a gender-balanced workforce.

We are particularly excited to launch this episode in the week that Unilever announced it achieved a 50:50 gender balance in managerial roles across their business.

We chatted to Mita about a whole range of thorny issues covering:

  • Whether the term ‘Cognitive Diversity’ is a get out of jail free card
  • Why you can’t get diversity of thought without diversity of representation
  • How to increase cultural competency and agility
  • Biases about inclusion practitioners (because we know it’s not all unicorns and rainbows)
  • And how to find the magic between the head and the heart

Tune in for inspiring stories and a tonne of practical tips.
