Submit ReviewSimon's professional career took place between 2005 and 2018, he was the Australian Road Cycling Champion on two occasions in 2012 and 2014. Simon was the 4x winner of the Tour Down Under 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2016, the most in the history of the event and he has been the first and only Australian to win stages across all three Grand Tours, Tour de France, Volta and the Gyro. Simon enjoyed the yellow jersey in the Tour de France in 2013 and has been a dual Australian Olympian 2008 and 2012.
In this episode Simon shares around his career highs, lows and the many learnings along the way. It's been an incredible journey for Simon, from getting onto a push bike after injuring his knee on motorbikes, through the serendipity of having an Australian cycling great Phil Anderson as a neighbour in rural Victoria, all the way to conquering the world and dealing with the challenges of seven fractures in one year in 2015.
