This week I share my top five team building exercises with you! I get asked about doing these with teams pretty often. Interestingly enough, when I ask most leaders what it is that they want to accomplish with these exercises, they are a bit stymied by the question. This is a critical part of planning team building exercises and also, using them. Without a clear intention they often feel like forced fun and this is mainly why leaders and their teams can find them a bit manipulative too. Nevertheless, there are great reasons to incorporate them not only for fun but also to foster connection, creative thinking and innovation. Now, who doesn’t want more of that at work? Here are the top five exercises that we discuss on this week’s show:

  1. The Positive Introduction
  2. The Commons
  3. Zip, Zap, Zup
  4. Truth and Care
  5. One Good Thing
