If you work in a traditional office setting but have coworkers who work remotely, you’re probably a bit jealous from time to time. They don’t have to commute all the time. They can work in their pajamas. The list goes on and on. Funny thing is, if you’re the one working remotely with coworkers who work in a traditional office setting, you no doubt worry about the advantages they may have in regard to promotions because they’re being seen more than you are. They can get the bosses “ear” at a moments notice sometimes. Birthdays? No cake and ice cream for you. You’re not there. “The grass is always greener…” mentality, I suppose. These remote work issues and more are being addressed in a new book by Kevin Eikenberry and Wayne Turmel. That book is called The Long-Distance Leader: Rules for Remarkable Remote Leadership. Today, I interview Kevin as we dive into the key insights and main ideas from the book.
