My friend Suzie has a fantastic love deck that I use daily. Last, I picked a card that read, "give yourself permission to beat to your own drum." That card got me thinking of how often we refrain from doing something beneficial to us just because we are worried about other people's opinions.
In this episode, I permit you to beat your drum. Not everyone will love the beats, but it will differentiate you from the crowd. When I started in the online world, I was teaching social media. Having to learn how different platforms work was not a cake party. I decided to niche down to LinkedIn. Many people thought that my move would affect my business negatively. Look at me now. I am beating to my drum, and the results are undeniably good.
Here are three tips to help you give yourself permission to beat to your drum:
Think about the people that are looking for you. They are tired of the status quo. They want something different, and it's upon you to make it easy for them to find you.
