Unless you're rescued by a panther, as occurs in this week's entry, Walt Disney's THE JUNGLE BOOK, the 1967 animated film whose re-imagining (helmed by Jon Favreau) is currently bringing the box office to its sha-na-nana-nana-knees. Featuring a lot of old-timey voice actors and singers with names like Phil Harris, George Sanders and Louis Prima, we warmly remember the original with its singing, scatting animals, but how does it hold up now? Ba zop ba zoey zow.
