Submit ReviewDressed as an elf, Freddie greets David at the abattoir, where he’s gone to pick up his Christmas meat order. They chat about plans for Christmas Day and Gagriculture, before horrified Freddie discovers David’s meat is missing. David becomes increasingly agitated after a futile search, blaming falling standards at the abattoir since Vince took over. Eventually, to David’s huge relief, Freddie finds the missing meat. The team who packed the order hid it in a different chiller and scrawled rude graffiti on the boxes as a “joke” on Freddie. David is impressed by the way Freddie took responsibility and dealt with the situation, getting the meat repacked and handed to David promptly, despite still being dressed as an elf.
At The Stables Chris puts up some new bridle hooks and saddle racks he’s made. Jakob admires his handiwork, then rebuffs Chris’s praise on the success of Gagriculture. It’s over and done with now. Jakob then tells Chris about a pony for sale, since Chris had said to let him know if he saw one, as a potential present for Martha. Chris mentions the Shetland pony to Emma at The Tearoom. Is it too much for three year old Martha? Emma thinks it probably is and reckons Alice would agree with her. So later on, when Jakob shows Chris some photos of the pony he took while passing, Chris says it’s too soon. But when Jakob mentions the look on Martha’s face if Chris did buy it, Chris changes his mind. He wants that pony for Martha. For Christmas Day.
