On episode 240 of #TSRP we get back to our regularly scheduled program after a very special episode of The Special Hotep Unit. Today we talk a little bit about Valentine’s Day as the Spann’s went to see Toni Braxton, and SWV at the Fox Theater in Detroit, and of course Detroit antics ensued. We then get the show rolling by hopping In The News, as reports of suspects being arrested in the Jussie Smollett assault case hit the news, and then right after that, those suspects were released. But one has to wonder why this story is playing the way it is in certain segments of the black community. Former Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke was assaulted in Prison this week, and his wife calls a news conference to demand his safety. We then roll over to Blue Blazes, as video in an elevator shows Lil Bow Wow acting very aggressively towards his girlfriend before the infamous fight that led to the mugshot of his face being scratched up. An Indian man is suing his parents for giving birth to him WITHOUT HIS CONSENT??? HUH??? And in Southfield Michigan, the city council is voting on whether or not is should be legal for the existence of a sex doll brothel within their city limits. Then it’s off to Proud To Be An American, as the legislators in Arizona are considering measures to have porn considered a public health crisis. Yes, you read that right, Porn a public health crisis. In Colorado, a sports apparel store is going out of business, after the owner of that store refused to sell Nike products because of their endorsement deal with Colin Kaepernick. And Kamala Harris appeared on The Breakfast Club this past week, and made eye brows raise all over the country over her admission to smoking weed, and the kinds of music she listens too. Many have compared her appearance to Hillary Clinton’s and accused her of “pandering” to the black community. Even Fox News, and Megan McCain hopped in on the madness. But was it what they were really making it out to be? And then we round everything out with our AssHat Champ of The Week announcements.
