Forrest Hall based Sara Young trained as a psychotherapist at the Northern Guild of Psychotherapy with a specialism in children and young people. She’s worked with children as young as two, up to adults, her oldest being 78. Her work is typically characterised with a humanist approach based around the individual which has proved highly effective in addressing underlying mental health issues. Sara founded the social enterprise Changing Minds with Pick Up A Penny CIC to support this new approach.

She has always been driven by a desire to change Government policy toward early intervention for children and young people. She is currently completing a Phd whilst running a psychotherapy practice heading a team of six all working in pioneering therapies that include Neuro therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and integrative psychotherapy.
