The Aztecs are reasonably stable on this team with returning players and their coaching staff. San Diego State has to be considered a front runner to win the West division and that is because they have one of the best players in the conference returning, if not the best, in running back Donnell Pumphrey. There are some concerns such as who will be the starting quarterback and finding some wide receivers or tight ends to step up on offense to lessen the amount of carries for Pumphrey.
