Air Date: January 19, 2022 Welcome to Episode 186 of the podcast. Halal is an Arabic word that translates to Permissable in English. As far as food goes, it refers to food that is allowed according to Islamic law. When it comes to meat, it means that it cannot be a forbidden cut and there are rules that must be followed for the slaughter of the animal and the processing. Pork is also forbidden. My guests this week represent a large group of bbq fanatics that follow the Halal principles. I am excited to welcome Zahed Ahmad, Neghae Mawla and Rehan Jaffrey from Halal BBQ Pitmasters to the show this week to talk about the group, cooking Halal BBQ and their motto of Bringing People Together With BBQ. I also want to give a special thanks to the guys for sending me some samples of their rubs. I gave the Teri Peri a try on some ribs this weekend and it has a great flavour!
