As a co-founder of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers, Chris Hillman is arguably the primary architect of what’s come to be known as country-rock.

Chris Hillman is much more than a rock star. He is truly a founding father of American music and a man who has faced the challenges of life to discover what really matters.

He was the original bassist and member of The Byrds, which in 1965 included Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby, and Michael Clarke. With frequent collaborator Gram Parsons, Hillman was a key figure in developing country-rock, defining the genre through his work with The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Manassas, and the country-rock group The Desert Rose Band.

Chris has now written a book detailing his life in the music business, titled “Time Between My Life as A Byrd, Burrito Brother, and Beyond.”
