The Cycling Podcast is currently on a theatre tour but Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie, François Thomazeau and Orla Chennaoui recorded this week's episode a few hours before taking to the stage at Worcester's Huntingdon Hall. They discuss the latest developments in the General Medical Council's hearing into former Team Sky and British Cycling doctor Richard Freeman, and Shane Sutton's extraordinary appearance before he stormed out. We also hear from The Telegraph's Tom Cary, who has been at the hearing. François reflects on the death of Raymond Poulidor, who finished on the podium at the Tour de France eight times without ever winning the race or even pulling on the yellow jersey. Poulidor's grandson is Mathieu van der Poel and so his legacy lives on in the peloton but how will France remember the man they nicknamed the Eternal Second? The Cycling Podcast is supported by Rapha and Science In Sport.
