Somewhere in the darkest heart of Amazon Prime is a mythical place. A place where famous directors are forced to have dinner with you. A place where the tracking shots go on forever. A place where all the boring white guys are shoved into retirement. However, it's also a place where a much touted "film for adults" is kind of just a boring Lawrence of Arabia retread, exclusively shown in easy chair emporiums that happen to have movies playing on one of the walls. Two steps forward one step back, so it goes and goes. This club sandwich is on me. DISCUSSED: Touch of Evil, the modern multiplex experience, The Lost City of Z, Lawrence of Arabia, great moments in sandwiches, "better to burn out or fade away?", personable directors, the Masterclass series
