“You’re moving classrooms.” These  are words that every teacher HATES to hear! Whether you’re changing grade levels, moving schools, going to a new district, or packing up your classroom for good, we are sharing some top tips for packing up your classroom in an organized and productive way!

We’ve had our fair share of moving classrooms, we’ve even been in situations where we’ve moved schools or have just had to have everything packed away for the summer. No matter your situation, this can be stressful. You’ve already got a ton of things on your plate and no one has the time at the end of the year to be thinking about packing. 

That’s why we wanted to share our TOP tips for packing up your classroom and reducing your stress. 

TOP Tips for Packing Up Your Classroom:

  • Tip #1: Take pictures of your classrooms
  • Tip #2: Create a “want” list
  • Tip #3: Pack by zone
  • Tip #4: Label your boxes by zone and list a few of the contents
  • Tip #5: Number your boxes
  • Tip #6: Label large items with painter’s tape
  • Tip #7: Use plastic baggies to organize smaller items
  • Tip #8: Use plastic wrap to enclose bookcases and books
  • Tip #9: Use items from the Dollar Tree
  • Tip #10: Make a back to school kit
