Weekly Toronto Blue Jays TalkNow that we’ve had a couple of games to digest the arrival of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., it’s fair to reflect on the impact that he’s able to provide for this team. As it stands, even prior to his arrival, the Jays were exceeding expectations; going so far as almost getting to that .500 mark. With his help, however, they were able to do it, albeit briefly. Still, there is a lot to be both satisfied and excited with when it comes to this Jays
squad. That being said, even though the month of April has concluded and small sample sizes being unreliable in terms of evaluating how the talent will be heading into the dog days of summer, I think it’s fair to wonder whether or not this team could possibly contend for a Wild Card spot. With the Red Sox not finding their groove and the Yankees experiencing injury woes of their own, perhaps it’s not so outlandish that the Jays could find themselves in an unlikely position of contention. Could it be?To discuss these and other topics, host Adam Corsair is joined by the host of the TSV Podcast, Connor Chambers.
