About LAAUNCHWe are a non-profit organization founded by a group of longtime friends in September 2020 to address the rise of anti-Asian violence in America in the wake of COVID-19. Our mission is to engage and empower Asian Americans to fight racism, increase representation and share resources within our community.

We created the STAATUS Index (Social Tracking of Asian Americans in the U.S.) to:

  • Measure attitudes and perceptions of Americans towards Asian Americans on an annual basis; this is one of the first studies of its kind in over 20 years
  • Create impactful data for politicians, community leaders and media to address the underlying causes of racism and discrimination towards Asian Americans;
  • Develop impactful programs to fight prejudice, change stereotypes and increase visibility of Asian Americans.
