“As a lifelong Chicago sports fan, this is a dream come true” for Mike Thomas, who recently arrived in Chicago not only as Market Manager for ESPN 1000 but also to be close to family.

For 10 years, Mike headed programming at Boston’s WBZ, the award-winning station known as The Sports Hub. Before launching the format for CBS Radio (and successor Beasley Media Group) he worked as a program director for stations owned by Jacor, Clear Channel, Saga Communications and Mid-West Family Broadcasting.  His career has taken him from Springfield, Illinois to Dayton, Ohio, to Indianapolis, San Diego, Boston and now Chicago will be his first job as a market manager.
