Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi popularized the Hindu numerals in the Arabian and Western world through his mathematical work.Fibonacci used these Hindu Arabic numerals for his work and thus popularized it in Europe.They came to be known as the Hindu Arabic system or as Arabic numerals.
