So that is how the episode starts as we chat about another selection of films featuring Awkwafina, Chastain, Affleck, Clooney, Waititi, Coogler, & Blunt that you could look forward to in 2020. Then it’s time for our picks as we go through several of the major categories including Animated Feature, the four acting, Director, Picture, and of course, Sound Editing & Mixing. We make mention of all of the potential narratives, perennial nominees, overdue stars, returning winners, & rising talents that stick out to us in the crowded field of maybes. Each of us then picks 3 of the likeliest nominees, and by the end of the episode, we make our predictions.
