This time last year a tonne of UK wheat for milling would have cost around £220 - now farmers tell us they’re getting £300. It’s a knock on effect of the misery in Ukraine which - along with Russia - produces a third of the world’s wheat exports. In the UK we don't import significant amounts from the region but across the world prices are rising in response to the war, and farmers here we are no exception. We hear what that means for farmers and food prices. Northern Ireland will soon have its first laws to tackle climate change after MLAs at Stormont passed a Climate Bill. Northern Ireland is currently the only part of the UK without climate legislation. And we head down to Belfast port, to the depot of one of the biggest local transport companies, to discuss the impact on the ground of the NI Protocol.
